Allan Sulkin, founder and president of TEQConsult Group, has thirty years telecommunications market experience. He is widely recognized as the leading enterprise communications market/product analyst, a reputation supported by his numerous industry conference presentations and public publications.  Sulkin has personally consulted with: executives and upper-level managers at most of the leading suppliers and distributors of enterprise communicaitons sysems; CIOs, IT directors, and telecom managers at large end user organizations; venture capitalists and financial analysts; and legal counsel working on litigation actions. 

Sulkin keeps current on industry conditions through rconstant eading, research and analysis; membership in industgry consultant/analyst programs too numerous to list; and daily personal interactions with suppliers, distributors, end users, and industry media (of which he is a prominent member).

For two decades Sulkin was a Contributing Editor to Business Communications Review magazine, writing the publication's widely read and disseminated annual PBX market review article, and is currently a Contributing Editor of blog posts and feature stories to the No Jitter website. He has also written articles for many other leading industry publications, such as Call Center, Telecommunications, Network World, MISWeek, InfoWorld, Teleconnect, Telephone Engineer & Management, and Telemanagement. 

Sulkin has developed and/or presented several BCR training courses, including Understanding PBX Systems & Technology, IP Telephony Systems, Contact Centers, and Basics of Telecommunications.  He has also served as a program director and featured presenter for the industry's leading conference and exhibition  VoiceCon since its inception in 1991, of which his annual RFP for IP Telephony Systems workshop is always a major highlight.  In addition, Sulkin developed and presented Telecom Manager’s Voice Report :IP Telephony Bootcamp training seminars for several years.

Throughout his career Sulkin has been a keynote speaker or featured presenter at dozens of telecommunications conferences, such as Interop, ComNet, ICCM, TCA, ICA, NATA/MMTA, and IPComm; end user group organizations; and numerous vendor sales conferences. He has also presented many public and private client webcasts on a variety of enterprise communications topics.

Sulkin was a member of the enterprise communications industry trade association (ECA) Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He also had personal responsibiity for researching and editing its annual market review. For several years he was a member of The Society of Telecommunications Consultants (STC) and continues to present an annual market update at their Fall conference.

Prior to founding TEQConsult Group in 1986, Sulkin worked as a senior consultant at The Marketing Programs & Services Group (1984-1986), was founder and partner at S&R Consulting (1983-1984), and held corporate staff management positions at Western Union Telegraph Company (1978-1979) and AT&T General Departments (1980-1983). He was a recipient of AT&T Advanced Information System’s first marketing achievement award for his pioneering role in the creation and operation of the competitive marketing and sales support department for the Bell System network of telephone operating companies.

Sulkin holds the following university degrees: Bachelor of Science, Engineering Science (Magna Cum Laude), NJIT, 1975; Master of Science, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers University,1977; Master of Business Administration, Rutgers University,1978. He was elected to the national honor societies for engineering (Tau Beta Pi) and business (Beta Gamma Sigma).
